Alex Vorti, born in 1991 in Majdanpek, Serbia, graduated in sculpture from the University of Applied Sciences in Belgrade. Alongside his artistic practice, he works as an art and English language teacher.
Art critics and visual arts experts have praised Vorti in the same context as prominent pioneers of Tachism, such as Arnulf Rainer and Hans Staudacher. This comparison is well-founded: Vorti has introduced a fresh and compelling energy into contemporary abstract painting, profoundly enriching both the aesthetic and spiritual dimensions of spontaneous and, to a certain extent, aleatoric creation through color and form.
